Have you ever picked up a book and from the minute you started reading it is what an “ah moment’? That is exactly how I felt while reading The Intuition Principle.
Knowing in the deepest part of my soul and believing beyond a shadow of a doubt that my life is mapped out exactly the way “I” decided before I made my way to this amazing place called earth, you agree to forget it all. LOL wow are we crazy. Then we spend our life time trying to find out the map.
If we are lucky enough to clue into universe consciousness, our guardians and our intuition, we can make the journey easier and a lot more interesting. Cool so we got that smart, but how the heck do we make it work?
This is where the book comes in to play for me. What is Intuition? How do we communicate with this side of us? How do we use it? What gets in our way? Once we “get it” how do we create the life we want using it? So many question! But maybe the biggest is why? why spend all this time on developing your intuition?
As Angela says, and I totally agree with her, “Intuition is the only way to connect to your authentic self and your true calling, your reason for being here at this time.” wow, I believe that to be so true and is why I am so overjoyed with the privilege to read this book.
What is “The Intuition Principle”
Angela writes… “[tweetherder]The Intuition Principle is the concept that within you exists an innate technology, your intuition, capable of both guiding you to and attracting to you the life and happiness you’ve always dreamed of.[/tweetherder]
okay, I was memorized by this concept, not because it was new, but because it was so clear and concise, the way I like things.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with Angela and I asked her a few questions about the book and Intuition.
Q & A with Angela about The Intuition Principle
Q: What led you to write, “The Intuition Principle?”
After years of struggle I finally realized that many problems in my life were the result of not following my intuition. I was not in touch with my intuition in my life. I never understood how “subtle” intuition was so I kept expecting this “booming voice” which only led me to ignore the soft whispers of my intuition further.
Being out of touch with my intuition caused me to make important decisions for myself based on what others expected of me rather than upon what I truly wanted. I did this over and over. I went into the wrong career, married the wrong person and even lost money in the real estate market because I put more faith in the opinion of others rather than in trusting my own inner guidance. I was miserable until I made the decision five years ago to listen to my intuition for every single decision from that point forward.
The book is a handbook for others to avoid the making the same mistakes as I did, based on years of research I did on this topic initially for myself. When I made the decision to listen to my intuition 100 percent of the time, my life began to turn around! When I saw how my life had changed I wanted to share this information with others.
Q: What is intuition?
[tweetherder]Intuition is our own inner guidance.[/tweetherder] It is a small voice we hear often like a whisper, that gently nudges us to make the right choices and decisions in our lives. It can tell us when we should be wary of a person and when we should act on an opportunity. It comes to us spontaneously and many times feels like an “aha” moment.
Q: Can everyone develop their intuition?
Yes absolutely. Everyone is intuitive but not everyone is aware enough of having it. If you’ve ever “known” someone was lying to you or that someone was staring at you – you’ve had an intuitive experience. The more you focus on being intuitive the more you’ll begin to see examples of it in your life. Intuition is like anything else – practice will improve your results.
Q: Do certain things block our intuition?
If you are too focused on having things your way or getting a certain result you will block your intuition if it is not “what you want to hear.” Also, if you are a nervous wreck and teaming with fears you will not hear that little whisper because your mind will be too agitated. You need to be calm and detached from the outcome. Intuition surfaces best in an unbiased mind.
Q: Is there a difference between being “psychic” and being “intuitive?”
Psychic information comes from outside of you. Intuitive information comes from within. Everyone is intuitive but, not everyone is psychic.
A psychic can tune into to another person and pick up on information about them. The intuitive person is able to go within in order to receive guidance from their own inner wisdom.
Q: [tweetherder]What is the “Fabulousity Factor?”[/tweetherder]
The “fabulousity factor” is when your life flows smoothly and almost effortlessly because you have listened to your intuition and are now on the right track. When you are on the path you were meant to be on opportunities present themselves and the answers to problems appear just when you need them. You are joyous and feel as if your life is “golden.”
Q: How can I tell the between the voice of intuition and voice of the ego?
Intuition makes you “feel good” about doing something. You will feel excited and experience a sense of “certainty” about it. When a thought comes from the ego, often you’ll feel as if you “should do” it. You’ll be aware of your rational mind recounting the reasons why you ought to do it. Intuition is more of a feeling while the ego is a rationalization that comes from the intellect.
Q: Does attachment to an outcome affect intuition?
Yes, a great deal. If you really want things to turn out a certain way you can easily mistake the ego’s voice for the voice of your intuition. When you are attached to the outcome your mind will be so focused on that one particular outcome that it will screen out your intuition so that even if your intuition is trying to tell you that you have made a wrong decision you won’t hear – because you won’t want to. What you will hear instead is your own thoughts generated by the ego which has a vested interested in “being right.” This is why you need to learn to let go and detach from the outcome when you ask for intuitive guidance.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who struggles to hear their inner guidance?
[tweetherder]Learn to relax. Let go of the outcome. Don’t worry about being wrong.[/tweetherder] Intuition thrives in a relaxed peaceful state of mind. One other thing you can do is to learn to meditate and practice every day. Meditation relaxes the mind and allows your thoughts to slow down. When your mind is not crammed full of one thought after another your intuition will easily stand out.
Practice by asking for guidance when you are meditating. Ask and then sit quietly an listen. Do not expect to hear a “booming voice” like I did. It is your own voice that you hear in your mind. Trust whatever comes. It could come as a “thought” or a picture in the mind or as a “gut feeling.” After you do this a while you will begin to truly trust this voice and know it as your intuitive wisdom. Practice is key.
Q: What message do you want readers to take away from reading “The Intuition Principle?”
When you follow the guidance of your intuition you are in sync with your destiny. Aligning with your destiny brings the world and your dreams to you by positioning serendipitous and synchronous events on your path, which assist you in successfully completing your mission. To be aligned with your intuition is to be one with the flow of life, where you sail with the current toward your goals with the same ease as a gently moving river, and that is the beauty of the Intuition Principle and the beauty of living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
